1) What makes you the authority on appetizers?
Who says I’m the authority? In fact, the only authority I claim is the authority to decide what recipes goes on this web site. I am a woman who loves appetizers. I’m not trying to come off as a gourmet, or a chef, I am simply publishing recipes that I love and that I want you to try. Yes, I have tried and loved every recipe that appears on this site. Only the good recipes make it!
2) Where do your recipes come from?
Either I create them myself (or heavily revise existing recipes to make them my own) or pull them from my favorite cookbooks, in which case I will credit the cookbook. Some are family recipes that I’ve asked permission to post on the site.
3) What is with the shopping and the links?
Most of the links I post for products are affiliate links. I have partnered with companies (Sur La Table, Cooking.com and Amazon – to name a few) to provide links in which I can alert you to a certain product or sale. I do make a small commission if you click on those links and buy that product. The commission I receive is of no extra cost to you. Think of it as a way to support this website. You are under no obligation to buy!
4) What kind of camera are you using?
I am currently using a Nikon D5000 and I switch between the Nikkor 18-55mm lens and the Nikkor 55-200mm lens. I am still learning about food photography and am hardly an expert.
